What is the status of Shawniece and Jephte’s marriage? As a result of a heated argument, the Married at First Sight pair is considering divorce in PopCulture’s devastating sneak peek of Wednesday’s Couples Cam. Their daughter Laura was born in 2018 after they were married in Season 6 of the Lifetime show.
This season, the couple’s relationship has become more strained after three years of marriage, culminating in a heated argument about how many children they will have. Jephte declared himself “done” with Shawniece, telling her “I want a divorce.”
The next day, he opens up to the camera about the future of his marriage, saying, “We had a fight last night, and it appears like it’s over. Our marriage has come to an end, and we are no longer together.”
“But not because I don’t care about her at all! Love her and would select her every time, I’m sure of it “He goes on to say more. “What I mean is that it’s just not making any sense at all I feel like we have a huge explosion every six months, and every time I sit here, I think, “This didn’t need to happen.” Is this really necessary?'”
Shawniece tells her camera that she feels the same way “The fact that I don’t know what to do next makes me a little depressed. Jephte says he and Laura will “had to find something out” when it comes to co-parenting, and that’s not what he wants for his family.
His reasoning: “I don’t want to have to share my daughter or split my time.” “Other than that, I’m at a loss on what to do. What’s the point of working hard if we’re just going to get into a big fight every six months?” Shawniece is in agreement with me “I feel like I’ve run out of energy and have nothing else to offer.
