David Faber, a CNBC anchor who participated on an all-star edition of Jeopardy!, will host the event tonight. However, what if you missed his earlier participation on the game show? We’ve got your back.
Joe Buck will take the stage following Faber, and then Jeopardy! will choose a permanent host to replace Alex Trebek, who passed suddenly last year. Faber has some Jeopardy! experience, having played in a celebrity version of the Jeopardy! Power Players Tournament in 2012. To win the $50,000 prize, he defeated Fox News’ Dana Perino and basketball icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Faber is the author of three books: The Faber Report (2002), And Then the Roof Caved In (2009), and House of Cards: The Origins of the Collapse. He is a CNBC financial journalist and host of Squawk on the Street (2010). But when it comes to Jeopardy!, Faber is all about the contestants.
In an interview on Jeopardy YouTube !’s page, Faber remarked, “I wanted to build a rhythm, and I wanted to be beneficial for the competitors.” “I feel like people came up here because this is a big day for them, and I didn’t want to let them down.”
As for Trebek, who will die in November 2020 at the age of 80, Faber had nothing but good things to say. Faber thinks Trebek had a tremendous impact on him, even though he didn’t spend a lot of time with him while competing on the programme.
For his presenting role, he stated, “I’ve been studying him a bit.” “I feel closer to him now that I’ve seen what a master he was.” Only after attempting it can you truly appreciate it. Why on earth did he do that?”
The Jeopardy! host may be seen in action on the website. Robin Hood Foundation will benefit from his visit from August 2 to August 6.
