Apple’s 2022 iPad Line-Up and Its Comparison with Current iPad Air
Apple launched new iPads on Tuesday, giving us something to discuss for the next several weeks. The new iPad Pro is the quickest tablet ever, with an M2 CPU and Wi-Fi 6E, bringing it in line with the iPad Air and iPad mini. iPad Air
If you can justify spending an additional $110 on the iPad 10 rather than the iPad 9, you should probably consider whether or not the $150 premium for the iPad Air is justified.
Yes, the M1 chip you’re receiving is impressive, but it won’t be used for anything. Whether you’re interested in the Apple Pencil (2nd gen vs. 1st gen) or a keyboard, the improved connectivity with other accessories is a plus (choice of Magic Keyboard and Smart Keyboard Folio). Better color gamut and anti-reflective coating create a noticeable improvement in the display.
iPad Pro 11 Inch
What do you think about upgrading from the iPad Air to the iPad Pro with a screen size of 11 inches? Right about here is when you should start to see some clarity. I’d say the Pro features are the kind of thing you’d “know if you need” after you try them out. The M2 chip is an improvement on the M1 chip. ProMotion. Wide-angle photography. The fourth generation of the Thunderbolt/USB connection. Adopting the ProRes format. Capacity expansion possibilities. If you’re a regular customer who isn’t obsessed with videos, you probably don’t need any of that.
iPad Pro 12 Inch
And now we’re back to a little of confusion: you may need the Pro features and want a larger display for other reasons. There is no iPad counterpart to the iPhone 14 Plus, so if you only want a larger screen you’ll have to shell out for the more expensive Pro model.
iPad 9: $329
Apple really needs a cheaper product in this range. Furthermore, there is no rationale for spending more than this on an iPad for your children.
iPad 10: $449
A lot of folks are willing to shell out more cash for a more contemporary appearance. As manufacturing costs decrease, this model’s pricing will eventually drop to about $329.
iPad mini, $499
The sole advantage is its tiny size, but if a little iPad is what you want, then you want a small iPad. In the business sphere, the iPad mini has also done quite well. Anything from electronic notepads for wait staff and warehouse inventory to simple Internet connection for airline ground employees and cabin crew.
The Apple iPad Air is now available for $599.
The only reasons why the typical iPad user would consider the Air are the superior accessory compatibility and anti-reflective coating, thus it would make more sense if Apple could provide them on the iPad 10. In my opinion, this is the one that should be dropped from production.

As was previously said, professionals will benefit from the pro features and will gladly pay for them.
iPad Pro 12.9″: $1,099
As well as the characteristics and/or the dimensions. From a consumer’s point of view, an iPad 10 Plus would be a fantastic alternative, but the truth is that enough people are ready to pay the Pro extra for the size, so that’s all money in Apple’s pocket.
