Dipset and The LOX are two of New York’s most beloved hip-hop groups, and their matchup is one of the most anticipated thus far in the Verzuz series, which has previously featured Jeezy vs. Gucci Mane, Brandy vs. Monica, Snoop Dogg vs. DMX, and Timbaland and Swizz Beatz in several battles.
Neither Dipset nor The LOX have extensive discographies, but both have a number of members who have released solo albums, which should keep the evening interesting.
Jadakiss is making his second appearance on Verzuz, having previously faced Fabolous in June of 2020.

As part of the Verzuz fight, held on Tuesday, August 3 at Madison Square Garden (MSG), The Lox squared off against The Diplomats Dipset.
Meanwhile, social media fans flocked to Twitter to discuss the two hip-hop groups’ respective hit tracks. As far as the legendary Verzuz fight is concerned, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz co-founded the app in March 2020.
It was a battle of the titans with musicians like Monica and Brandy, Snoop Dogg and the late DMX, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle and Raekwon, Nelly and Ludacris as well as Method Man and Redman.
Who Won The Battle
These two renowned ensembles engaged in one of the most ferocious Verzuz battles of all time, featuring adlibs and bass-heavy tunes. This hip-hop group from Yonkers includes Sheek Louch, Styles P, Jadakiss, and others who are well-known in the hip-hop world.
Formerly known as The Notorious B.I.G. Trio, the legendary group was formed in 1998 and brought the heat to the Verzuz fight with songs like “It’s All About The Benjamins” and “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa.”
Additionally, the hip-hop fans present at the crowded arena were treated to their guest verses on tunes such as “24 Hrs. to Live”, “Honey”, and “Jenny from the Block” by Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey. Money, Power, Respect and Living Off Xperience are two of The Lox’s best-known albums for the uninitiated.
With hits including “Oh Boy”, “Hey Ma”, “Under Construction”, and “Salut”, the renowned late 90’s group The Diplomats Dipset also competed with The Lox. Since its inception in 1997, the organisation has undergone a number of changes.
Former Harlem-based rapper Juelz Santana joined the group in 1999. Verzuz fights never award a winner, as it’s always the fans/social media users that vote.
The Epic Battle was aired Live at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT on the official Instagram page of Verzuz. Hip-hop fans could also stream the battle from the Triller app and Fite TV.
