Pop radio exposure for Kid LAROI & Justin Bieber’s “Stay” will rise yet again. Since it debuted at number 13 last week, the song is expected to climb into the top 10 this week.
During the first four days of the July 25-31 monitoring period, “Stay” was played 5,044 times. Mediabase’s building chart has “Stay” as #9, up 23 percent over last week’s total.
No impending threats from below mean that it will be able to maintain its position until the end of tracking. It may even climb higher as the week unfolds, given its tremendous momentum.
In addition, “Stay” is doing well in the adult contemporary format. On last week’s Hot AC chart, it debuted at #40 and is expected to climb as high as #30 this week (if not higher).
These rankings (the newest of which is dated August 7) rate songs based on streaming and sales data collected from more than 200 regions across the world, according to MRC Data. Billboard’s two global charts were launched in September of last year. Charts for the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S.
Download sales, which represent purchases from full-service digital music stores throughout the world, are omitted from the charts’ computations.
“Stay” by The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber, which spent its first two weeks on the Billboard Global 200 at No. 2, has climbed to No. 1 this week. From July 23-29, the song topped the charts with 75.1 million streams (an increase of 6 percent) and 13,900 international sales (an increase of 11 percent).
The Kid LAROI, who previously reached the top 10 with Miley Cyrus’ “Without You,” now leads the Global 200. (No. 10 peak in May). “Peaches,” starring Daniel Caesar and Giveon, debuted at No. 1 on the chart for the week of April 3.
