Giant Eagle Mask Policy

Giant Eagle is reinstating its mask policy which suggests all employees and customers are required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status. So, it’s mandatory to wear a mask inside Giant Eagle store, no matter if you are already vaccinated.

As a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, Giant Eagle’s first focus has been to ensure the safety of its employees and neighbors. Since Giant Eagle has seen a surge in positive COVID-19 cases across the country, it has reinstituted face masks, fabric face covers and face shields for Team Members, visitors and unvaccinated persons alike,” the business stated in a statement.

All Giant Eagle team members will be forced to wear masks starting on Wednesday, August 4. A mask will be required for entry into the store starting on Friday, August 6. Customers who do not have a mask will be able to get one at Giant Eagle.

Giant Eagle will also increase resources over the next week to educate team members about the benefits and dangers of receiving a COVID-19 vaccination, as well as examine options for requiring all employees to receive the vaccine.

Giant Eagle Statement:

As of Friday, August 6, we are requiring that all of our guests wear masks. All our locations will have Team Members ready to give a complimentary mask for guests who do not already have one.
