Candyman is an upcoming supernatural horror thriller created by Jordan Peele, Win Rosenfeld & DaCosta. The movie is directed by Nia DaCosta. Based on Clive Barker’s short tale “The Forbidden”, it is a direct sequel to 1992’s “Candyman”. Tony Todd and Vanessa Estelle Williams reprise their roles from the previous film in this sequel.

Universal Pictures is planning to release Candyman in the United States on August 27, 2021.
