WandaVision star Kat Dennings reveals a side of Darcy that has not yet been seen by Marvel fans. During episode 4 of the Disney+ season, audiences could hear the full fanbase cheering from their houses.

Kat Dennings spoke to TVLine about the show and how since the last time fans saw her, the Thor character had changed. “She explained, “I’ll say you certainly see something from Darcy that have not been seen before. When it came to diagnosing the issues on the field in Westview, the astrophysicist was the fastest scientific mind on her feet. Jimmy Woo, Randal Park, was also the episode’s audience favorite.

In the movie, you should expect a lot more of the two together. But, for a lot of people, after the second Thor outing, it was just good to see Darcy come in from the cold and have a part in another Marvel film. Kat Dennings has also commented on how cool it is to see the character build up during WandaVision in this way.

I am so grateful to the writers for giving her this rich backstory because she was Jane Foster’s intern the last time we saw her, and the joke was that she was a major in political science and not a major in science,” Kat Dennings explained.” It’s very fun to see that Jane Foster has an influence on her as a result of being an astrophysicist… She’s the same person, except now she’s got a lot of degrees and a bunch of details. Now she’s the manager.

The Thor star joked about how much Marvel’s secrecy has improved since the early days of the MCU in a separate interview with Variety.

“Before you get the phone call, you sign an NDA. They’re like,’ How do you feel about this (WandaVision)?’ Like I’m going to say no, never to Marvel at anything at all. You say yes and then you’re in for a crazy ride. You don’t really know what’s going on. I really don’t even know what’s going on.” She admitted, “My first meeting with (series head writer) Jac Schaeffer and (series director) Matt Shakman

Your head would burst if you’re a fan of Marvel, so when you go to the lobby, you sign an NDA. So hard, so intense. And so after you do that, you sit and they carry you a little tag, and then you go into the room. And before this meeting, I knew that I had to sign the NDA. Before this meeting, the walls were only littered in examples from the comic book pages,” she added. “To a guy who thinks co.

The return of Kat Dennings in last week’s episode of WandaVision marked her first time back in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Doctor Darcy Lewis since Thor: The Dark World in 2013. The MCU and Marvel Studios have improved very dramatically in the years since then, even though confidentiality has been a big part of their DNA since the outset. “Once you’re in the Marvel Universe, you’re kind of there even if they kill you. You’re still there.”Once you’re in the Marvel Universe, and though they kill you, you’re still there.

“You sign an NDA before you get the phone call,” Dennings told Variety. “They’re like, ‘How do you feel about this (WandaVision)?’ Like I’m gonna say no, at all ever to Marvel for anything. You say yes a then you’re in for a wild ride. You don’t even know what’s happening. I still don’t really know what’s happening.”

She added, “My first meeting with (series head writer) Jac Schaeffer and (series director) Matt Shakman was at the new Marvel offices. I had been to the old offices, but never the new ones. It’s really intense and incredible. If you’re a fan of Marvel, your brain would explode, but you sign an NDA when you get to the lobby. So intense, so intense. And then once you do that, you sit and they bring you a little badge, and then you go into the room. And I understood why I had to sign the NDA before this meeting.

The walls were just covered with the comic book pages with references. For a person who thinks comic books are like the end-all be-all, it was just like, unreal. It was there. They took this very serious. They always do, but this, specifically, they wanted to get this just right, because it’s so different from anything Marvel’s ever done. Everything has been meticulously planned. They laid out the sketch of it and what I would be doing, but to be honest I still don’t really know what happens.”

We don’t know what’s going to happen to Kat Dennings either, but the series has five episodes remaining and we can’t wait to find out.

The first four episodes of WandaVision are currently available on Disney+ with new episodes falling at 3 AM EST / 12 AM PT on Friday mornings.
