Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival intends to make the 2022 edition the biggest ever, after launching a significant overhaul of the festival grounds in 2021 and attracting a record-breaking throng of 75,000 people.
Korn, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, Papa Roach, Lamb of God, and more will play at the Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival this year. Music aficionados will congregate to the historic grounds of the Ohio State Reformatory (made famous by the movie The Shawshank Redemption) in Mansfield, Ohio, over the weekend of July 15-17 for three days of uninterrupted music, tattooing, haunted attractions, and more.
Korn, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, and Evanescence are among the headliners, with Lamb Of God, Papa Roach, Seether, Falling In Reverse, Three Days Grace, I Prevail, Black Label Society, Theory Of A Deadman, Black Veil Brides, Jelly Roll, and many others performing throughout the weekend.
The event continues the continuous collaboration between Danny Wimmer Presents, America’s largest independent festival organizer, and the producers of Inkcarceration, who together deliver an event unlike any other. Fans will be able to attend the onsite tattoo convention and arrange appointments with more than 30 tattoo shops and artists, in addition to enjoying the eclectic music programme. Jenncity, a musician and Big Brother veteran, actor Robert LaSardo, and tattooist Caleb Neff will judge the nightly tattoo contests.
There will also be free tours of the renowned Ohio State Reformatory prison. Gourmet cuisine, a broad range of beverages, camping, and the award-winning Haunted House attraction Blood Prison (bloodprison.com) will all be available for purchase on-site.
Single day GA admissions start at $79.99 plus fees, single day VIP cards start at $189.99 plus costs, weekend GA passes start at $164.99 plus fees, and weekend VIP passes start at $449.99 plus fees for Inkcarceration.
Weekend VIP passes have already sold out during the early bird period, so festivalgoers are advised to purchase early and save, as pass prices will rise in the following weeks. GovX is now selling a limited quantity of specially discounted passes for military members.
Both car + tent and RV weekend camping packages are offered. General Weekend Tent Camping costs $225 and includes 500 square feet of space for two people, access to the A/C Camping Lounge, optional breakfast, lunch, and drinks, dedicated shuttles to and from the festival, re-entry during the festival via the camping shuttles, access to the Camping Hydration Station, and showers and restrooms. Weekend RV camping is $380 and offers all of the same facilities as Tent Camping. There are also RV sites with electric and water connections available for purchase. Weekend Camping Packages do not include festival admission, which must be purchased separately.

VIP passes include a commemorative VIP laminate and wristband, dedicated festival entrance lanes, and access to the VIP area, which includes an elevated and shaded viewing deck, an air-conditioned lounge with comfortable furniture, and audio and video streams of the main stages, as well as a commemorative VIP laminate and wristband.
A separate retail booth, dedicated VIP locker rental with charging capabilities (for an extra fee), air-conditioned and flushable bathrooms, and premium food and drink choices are among the other VIP features (for additional purchase).
The historic architecture and grounds of the Ohio State Reformatory make an ideal location for Inkcarceration. The vast, awe-inspiring building is known not just as one of the country’s most haunted reformatories, but also as a filming location for a number of Hollywood blockbusters.
