What’s Releasing on Hulu this week? “Pam & Tommy” Release Date and Time

Hulu’s new biographical drama Pam & Tommy premieres tomorrow, and it chronicles the complete narrative of the repercussions from the famous couple’s sex video controversy. It has a star-studded cast and a nostalgic 1990s setting.

Pam & Tommy is an American biographical drama miniseries about actress Pamela Anderson and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, played by Lily James and Sebastian Stan, respectively, at the time when their illicit sex video was made public. Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen created the series for Hulu, which is produced by Point Grey Pictures and Annapurna Television.

“Pam & Tommy,” based on the astonishing real storey of the Pamela Anderson (Lily James) and Tommy Lee (Sebastian Stan) sex video, is set in the Wild West during the early days of the Internet. When a disgruntled contractor (Seth Rogen) stole the tape from the couple’s house, it went from underground bootleg-VHS curiosity to full-blown global phenomenon when it reached the Web in 1997. The eight-part original limited series, which combines a love story, a criminal caper, and a cautionary tale, investigates the junction of privacy, technology, and celebrity, tracing the beginnings of our contemporary Reality TV Era to a stolen recording watched by millions but intended for only two people.

The miniseries’ production was revealed in 2018, and James Franco was cast to helm and play Lee. Hulu ordered a series in December 2020, with James and Stan cast as Anderson and Lee, respectively, with the latter replacing Franco after his exit from the project. Casting announcements were made throughout the year of 2021, and filming took occur in April in Los Angeles.

Premise: Pam & Tommy is a film about Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s marriage and the subsequent release of their infamous unauthorized sex tape, which was secretly made during their honeymoon.

Pam & Tommy premiere on Hulu this Wednesday, February 2 at 3 a.m. ET. First 3 episode will be premiered this week.

  1. Nightmare Alley

Nightmare Alley is a 2021 American psychological thriller movie directed by Guillermo del Toro from a script by del Toro and Kim Morgan, based on William Lindsay Gresham’s 1946 novel of the same name. It is Gresham’s second feature film adaptation, following the 1947 original. The film stars Bradley Cooper as a charming and ambitious carnival worker with a mystery history who takes great risks to further his profession. It is a co-production between Searchlight Pictures, TSG Entertainment, and Double Dare You Productions. Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, Mary Steenburgen, and David Strathairn are among the cast members.

In 2017, Del Toro announced the project, which he co-produced with J. Miles Dale and Cooper. The cinematographer was Dan Laustsen, and the composer was Nathan Johnson, who replaced Alexandre Desplat. In January 2020, principal filming began in Toronto, Ontario, but was halted in March 2020 owing to the COVID-19 epidemic. Production began in September 2020 and ended in December of that year.

Nightmare Alley had its world debut at Alice Tully Hall in New York City on December 1, 2021, and was distributed theatrically in the United States by Searchlight Pictures on December 17, 2021. In addition, on January 14, 2022, a black-and-white version dubbed Vision in Darkness and Light was launched in certain locations. The picture earned mostly excellent reviews from reviewers, but it disappointed at the box office, generating $23 million worldwide against a $60 million budget.

In Guillermo del Toro’s film noir, an ambitious carny (Bradley Cooper) concocts a ticket to success by defrauding the upper crust of society in the 1940s. He prepares to scam a tycoon (Richard Jenkins) with the help of a strange doctor (Cate Blanchett), his most difficult opponent yet, with Molly (Rooney Mara) by his side.

Nightmare Alley is already available on Hulu starting from today, February 1.
