Top 5 MCU Characters Ready To Join Marvel’s ‘Young Avengers’

Marvel Cinematic Universe already began its phase 4 with bunch of series and movies. After Avengers End Game fans have been wondering about the future of Avengers considering Iron Man, Vision, Black Widow are dead, Captain America and Hawk-Eye are retired, Wanda became rogue and Hulk is now a gentleman.

Marvel is currently working on phase 4 of MCU to establish a set of young Avengers called The New Avengers. There are some promising candidates who can make it to the list. Here, we have top 5 characters of MCU ready to join New Avengers or Young Avengers.

1. Ms. Marvel aka Kamala Khan

Ms. Marvel has just completed it’s solo mini-series on Disney+. The series focuses on a second generation Pakistani teenager Kamala Khan, who accidentally discovered she has super powers. Later she also discovers that her great-grandmother was a ClanDestine aka ‘Jinn’ and thus she has Clandestine blood.

Ms. Marvel’s is currently streaming on Disney+ and the character is played by Pakistani-Canadian actor Iman Vellani. The 6 episode mini-series almost followed the comics version of origin story. Ms. Marvel is set to join Brie Larson in 2023 film ‘The Marvels’ and later on Young Avengers.

2. Hawkeye: Kate Bishop

Hawkeye is a miniseries created by Jonathan Igla, currently streaming on Disney+. The show is based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Clint Barton and Kate Bishop. The 6 episode mini-series tells the story of Kate Bishop becoming the new Hawkeye.

America Chavez first appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness film in 2022. Although, the comic appearance of America Chavez was in Vengeance #1 (September, 2011) before joining the Young Avengers. In the movie, America Chavez is fighting Scarlet Witch who wants to take her power.

Xochitl Gomez played the role of America Chavez in 2022 MCU film ‘Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’. America Chavez has no other version of herself in the ‘multiverse’. America’s primary super power is, she can open portal to other dimensions and different timelines. She can also throw energy blast. America Chavez will definitely join Young Avengers.

4. Love (Gorr’s Daughter)

Love, who appears in Thor: Love and Thunder as Gorr’s daughter, has the potential to be a significant figure in future MCU projects. Love is the daughter of extremely powerful MCU character, Gorr The God Butcher. Love’s role is played by Chris Hemsworth’s own daughter India Rose Hemsworth.

In the film, she dies of starvation but, resurrected by the Eternity at the climax. Love may end up being a Young Avenger since King Valkyrie and Thor have been teaching her how to be a great hero. She can shoot laser beams from her eyes. In Thor: Love and Thunder, Love’s powers are not totally demonstrated but, she has all the potential to become a Young Avenger.

5. Billy & Tommy Maximoff

Billy (Jullian Hillard) and Tommy (Jett Klyne) first appeared on Disney+ mini-series WandaVision. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is dealing with the sorrow of losing Vision (Paul Bettany). Wanda accidentally unleashed her abilities to take control of a small town through her agony, influencing everyone around her, and creating an alternate reality that resembled a string of sitcoms.

Billy has intuition and ability to see near future events, while Tommy is just like his uncle Pietro; he can run really fast. Wanda’s twin sons Billy (Hillard) and Tommy (Jett Klyne) manifested throughout the course of the mini-series. The magic field encircling the village was turned off at the end of the season, erasing everything she had constructed, including her two little kids, so she had to let them go.

This is a Top 5 list, but there is another Young Avenger in the making. Ironheart, Riri Williams. Ironheart is currently under production and filming. This is also a mini-series set to stream on Disney+ in 2023.
